The issues of competition development were discussed at the Kazan Legal forum

The International Juridical Forum Kazan Legal took place on September 14-15, 2017 in the city of Kazan in the Hotel Complex "Korston". The forum has become one of the most significant events in Tatarstan.

The forum is attended by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov and Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service of Russia, Igor Artemyev, as well as leading experts, representatives of authorities and businesses from different countries to discuss relevant issues of the development of law and the economy, their interrelationship and interinfluence.

Together with representatives of the Republic of Tatarstan, the legal aspects of infrastructure projects, investments in innovations, issues of corporate law and structuring international transactions are being discussed; the negotiations on criminal and administrative risks, the increasing role for compliance (compliance principle, compliance with rules), integration and cooperation in the Eurasian space, and legal aspects of cooperating with Middle East and Asian countries are being held.

One can learn about the latest news and tendencies, exchange opinions and establish contacts with leading jurists of Russia, EU, USA and Asia.

At the plenary session, Igor Artemyev stressed that the Republic of Tatarstan was a leader in the ranking of heads of Russia's regions for competition development, and in his turn, Rustam Minnikhanov, reported, that industrial parks of the Republic were one of the institutions for promoting competition.

Also during the session "Anti-Monopoly aspects of entrepreneurship: Tatarstan's experience" the Director of the Agency for state order, Jacob Geller made a report. The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Ilyas Galimov, Head of the Development Department.

We remind that according to the results of 2016 the Republic of Tatarstan occupied the 1st place in the ranking of regions' heads in terms of level of competition promotion.

The standard is aimed at creating conditions for the development of competition in the markets for goods and services in the region, the transparency of the work of the regional authorities, the provision of incentives to protect small and medium-sized businesses and the elimination of administrative barriers.

According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan of 6 May 2014, No. 799-R the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is the authorized body of the executive branch of the Republic of Tatarstan to promote competition in the Republic of Tatarstan.
