The Ministry of Economy discussed the cooperation of universities with the Innovation Promotion Fund

The Fund supported projects of Tatarstan for 70.98 million rubles in 2019.

The Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Indira Kireyeva, held a meeting with the vice-rectors of the leading Tatarstan universities dedicated to the development of cooperation of Tatarstan with the Fund for Assistance to the Development of Small Enterprises in Scientific and Technical Sphere (Innovation Promotion Fund).

The Republic of Tatarstan today participates in the programs of the Fund: “Commercialization”, “Development”, “Start”, “Umnik” and “TsMITy”. In 2019, the Fund supported 3 projects totaling 50 million rubles out of 23 applications filed from Tatarstan under the Commercialization program. Another 3 applications from Tatarstan for 9 million rubles were approved under the Start2 program.

According to the “Umnik” program in 2019, 14 projects worth 7 million rubles were supported. In addition, under the program of the Fund, TsMIT Aviator received a grant in the amount of 4.98 million rubles for holding of the regional stages of the All-Russian Competition AgroNTI-2019.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Kazan (Volga) Federal University, Kazan National Research Technological University named after A.N. Tupolev, Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Kazan State Power Engineering University, Innopolis University, Kazan Innovative University named after V.G. Timiryasov and Kazan State Agrarian University.

The representative of the Fund has been working in Tatarstan since 1994. Tatarstan is one of the leaders among the constituent entities by the number of applications submitted and approved. The Fund provides financial support to small innovative enterprises of the republic, introducing into production the results of research and development work carried out on its own, in case of victory in the competitions of the Fund.
