A meeting of the International Club of Directors was held in Kazan

In Kazan, from June 1 till 2 2017, the 68th meeting of the International Club of Directors has been held. The event is organized by the Higher School of Business of the Kazan Federal University. The key topic is "Conditions for Sustainable Economic Development - Situation, Expectations, Experience".

Yesterday, the representatives of the ministries and departments of the Republic of Tatarstan, enterprises, scientific and expert community took part in the meeting of the club. Within the framework of the event, a discussion was held on the issues of sustainable social and economic development of Russia, as well as the current state and prospects for the development of the real sector of the economy.

At the beginning of the meeting, Oleg Pelevin, the Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, made a speech on the social and economic development of the Republic of Tatarstan. Abel Aganbegian, the president of the club and the Doctor of Economic Sciences, the Fellow Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Policy of the Russian Academy of Science under the President of the Russian Federation, has presented his analytical report "On the Social and Economic Development of Russia: Results and Prospects" to the participants of the event. The main directions of development of the industry in Tatarstan have been covered by Ildar Mingaleev, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Today, the participants of the 68th meeting of the International Club of Directors plan to visit the city of Innopolis, as well as find about the main achievements and prospects for the development of the special economic zone.

The International Club of Directors was established in 1983. It comprises more than a hundred prominent scientists, managers of enterprises in Russia and CIS countries. The main goal of the activity is to exchange opinions and develop practical recommendations in the effective industrial policy. Since its formation, Abel Gezevich Aganbegian - Doctor of Economic Sciences, the Fellow Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Head of the Department of Economic Theory and Policy of the Russian Academy of Science under the President of the Russian Federation, has been the President of the Club.

Meetings of the International Club of Directors are held twice a year in various regions of Russia and CIS countries with the participation of regional leaders and acquaintance with best practices through visits to leading enterprises.
