The results of the law enforcement practice were discussed at the FAS Training Centre in Russia

A public debate on the results of the law enforcement practice of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of abidance of the anti-monopoly legislation by the state and local government authorities has taken place today in the Educational Methodology Centre of FAS of Russia, and compliance with government procurement legislation in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The reps of the Tatarstan Division of FAS of Russia, the executive authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan and the executive committees of the Municipalities of the Republic participated in the discussions.

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan was represented by Sergey Debts, deputy chief of the Competition Development Division.

The main objective of such public debates is to provide legal education to economic agents, state authorities and local government bodies in order to comply with the mandatory requirements of antimonopoly and procurement legislation.

We would like to note that the activities, aimed at improving the competitive environment in public procurement in the Republic of Tatarstan, included in the road map for the promotion of competition as part of the implementation of the requirements of the competition standard in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, approved by an order of the Government of the Russian Federation of 5 September 2015, No. 1738-P (standard).

The standard is aimed to create conditions for the development of competition in the markets for the goods, works and services of the region, transparency in the work of regional authorities, and incentives for the protection of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs and the removal of administrative barriers.

According to the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan of 6 May 2014, No. 799-R the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan is the authorized body of the executive branch of the Republic of Tatarstan to promote competition in the Republic of Tatarstan.
