The main task of testing the Standard - is to obtain a representative sample, that will allow to correct the document in such a way that the Standard becomes fair for all constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

That is why the Russian Export Center has chosen the regions with different export potentials out of all federal districts.

The global objective of the Regional Export Standard - is to consolidate a set of measures that will enable the regional authorities to stimulate the export activities of companies, as well as to establish an efficient export support infrastructure.

According to the recommended values, specified in the Standard, the diversification of non-commodity exports (the maximum share of one industry) for the subject of the Russian Federation would amount to 40%, the expansion of the supply geography (the number of countries for export) - not less than  25 countries-is also the indicator for the subject of the Russsian Federation. The annual increase in the number of small and medium-sized exporting companies in the region - participant of the project is at least 5%.

In the end of 2017, the Russian Export Center will summarize and analyze the results, as well as introduce the necessary amendments to the Standard.

The updated document will be submitted for public discussion and, in the framework of the next phase will be implemented everywhere as scheduled - by December 2018.

As Petr Fradkov - Head of the Group of Companies of the Russian Export Centre told: "The introduction of the Regional Export Standard assumes consistent work with a gradual build-up of its scope. We rely big hopes for the pilot subjects of the Russian Federation. The practice of the regions-participants will enable to optimize approaches to creating the regional export environment, and to jointly rework the tools of the Standard. For sure, the pilot regions will suggest adding some additional elements and mechanisms to the system, developed by us. For example, the proposals on selecting the export of services as a separate tool in the Regional Export Standard have been already received. Also the"pilots" suggest to increase accent on public-private partnerships. The regions have  a combative mood, and this means that, by joining the efforts, we will be able to achieve good results".
