The Joint Aircraft Corporation intends to increase the market share of the company through an agreement with Rospatent

Today, the Head of the Federal service for intellectual property - Grigory Ivliev, and the President of the Joint Aerospace  Corporation (PJSC OAK) - Yuri Slusar, signed a cooperation agreement, that could affect not only the development of the intellectual property sector, but also the development of the economy as a whole. The document regulates the interaction between the agency and the corporation on a wide range of intellectual property issues. Its uniqueness is in the detailed development of the partnership, including cooperation in the selection of technology priorities for the activities of the PJSC OAK and its subsidiaries and dependent organizations.

-         We believe that the agreement with PJSC OAK is a model to be followed by both state-owned corporations, enterprises of the United Industrial Corporation, and the business, science centers, and universities. For the first time, a large-scale corporation, bringing together dozens of enterprises, has clearly and publicly declared its interests in the area of intellectual property: the selection of relevant technology priorities based on patent researches, the development of patent strategies and marketing solutions through the tools of deep patent analysis. This is the first step towards a greater change both in the sphere of intellectual property and in the Russian economy as a whole, where the promotion of the role of intellectual property is a prerequisite for the innovative development, told the Head of the Federal service for intellectual property - Grigory Ivliev.

The partnership work in the area of patent analysis, the selection of technology priorities and the directions of researches, marketing and paten strategies when entering the market with new products, including the foreign ones, is the first item of the signed agreement. The document provides for further training and professional retraining of the representatives of the PJSC OAK, subsidiaries and dependent organizations of the Corporation (subsidiaries) in the field of intellectual property. The agency will assist in the assessment of the results of the intellectual activities of the PJSC OAK and the subsidiaries, the identification of future directions of title registration and title protection.

Together with specialists from PJSC OAK the Rospatent will prepare proposals for the legal protection of the RIA Corporation (Result of Intellectual Activity) and full legal protection for the interests of the PJSK OAK as well as the Russian Federation, in the implementation of international scientific, technical and military-technical cooperation. The parties will improve the quality of protection of the rights for the results of intellectual activity of PJSC OAK, including through mediation procedures based on the Rospatent subdivisions. The agreement also provides for joint educational and awareness-raising work, the organization of scientific and educational conferences, seminars and other activities on the issues of legal protection and protection of the rights for the results of intellectual activity, as well as the involvement of Russian technologies and industry-related intellectual property.

With the help of joint actions with the Rospatent the PJSC OAK expects to increase its share in the civil and military aviation markets, including abroad, to effectively implement the strategy for the development of an integrated aerospace complex, to significantly improve the management of intellectual property and to enhance the scientific, technical and productive capacity of the industry as a whole.
