The results of the socio-economic development of the republic for 2023 and the tasks for 2024 were considered at a meeting of the Operational Staff, the Board of the Ministry of Economy and the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy

A joint meeting of the Operational Headquarters for Ensuring Socio-economic Stability in the Republic of Tatarstan, the Board of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan and a visiting meeting of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy took place in Kazan today. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy Maxim Topilin, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Murat Kerefov, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Alexey Besprozvannykh, Deputy Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation Ivan Chebeskov, General Director of JSC Russian Export Center Veronika Nikishina, General Director ANO Center for Engineering and Innovation Support Pavel Dvornichenko, Authorized under the President of the Russian Federation for the Protection of the Rights of Entrepreneurs Boris Titov, Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent) Yuri Zubov, Deputy General Director of JSC SME Corporation Andrey Zheleznyakov and others.

Prior to the meeting, the participants visited the exhibition, within which they got acquainted with the projects of Tatarstan high-tech companies, representatives of university technological entrepreneurship, supplier enterprises for the needs of their own, etc.

The main report was delivered by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov.

He said that despite the introduction of new and expanded secondary sanctions, tightening of monetary policy, Tatarstan enterprises continue to develop production, maintaining investment activity and rebuilding logistics and sales markets.

"Thanks to the formed margin of safety and uninterrupted operation of small and medium–sized businesses, coordinated actions of authorities at all levels and the implementation of state support measures, by the end of 2023, the gross regional product of the republic exceeded 4 trillion rubles at a growth rate of 103.6%," Midhat Shagiakhmetov noted in the main report. He stressed that industry occupies the largest share in the structure of the economy. At the same time, the key contribution to the dynamics of industrial production is provided by manufacturing industries and, first of all, mechanical engineering.

Among the main indicators, Midhat Shagiakhmetov also highlighted the growth in the volume of investments in fixed assets, which last year exceeded the target of 1 trillion rubles, which is 11% more than a year earlier. The volume of construction work increased by 15.1% to 708 billion rubles; retail trade turnover increased by 11.3% to 1.4 trillion rubles; real average wages increased by 11.3% to 60 thousand rubles.

Midhat Shagiakhmetov also noted that 26 new residents have been attracted to the special economic zones over the past year.

"The development of business from the real sector is facilitated by the effective use of the created infrastructure, in particular industrial parks. There are more than 1,600 enterprises and 65,000 people working on the territory of industrial parks," the Head of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan added.

The Head of Tatarstan, in turn, thanked the federal Government for its support. "Everything that is happening in the republic, all the achieved economic results are our joint work, joint labor. "We receive huge federal support – from the federal government, from the President," he said. – We are working very closely. Midhat Rafkatovich (Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan), thanks to your team, you have managed to build creative work both internally with colleagues and close interaction with federal partners and colleagues. Rustam Minnikhanov positively assessed the work of the Operational Headquarters to ensure socio-economic stability in the Republic of Tatarstan. "Today, the republic has a substantive and specific Operational Headquarters under the leadership of the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, Midkhat Shagiakhmetov," he said. - All our tasks, which are defined in national projects, in regional programs, have all been implemented.

Deputy Economic Development of the Russian Federation Murat Kerefov also positively assessed the work of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 "According to a number of key indicators of business activity such as GRP growth, construction, retail trade turnover, the growth rate of the Republic of Tatarstan is comparable or confidently ahead of all-Russian values. What is important, especially in today's conditions, is that this growth is structural in nature. That is, it happens in those industries where it is necessary to increase the independence of domestic technologies and ensure the localization of production," said Murat Kerefov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development.

The meeting ended with the presentation of state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Federation.
