Tatarstan – participant of the international forum "Time to export»

The management team of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in the Strategic session on the implementation of the Regional export standard 2.0.

Today, July 17, 2019, in Ufa (Republic of Bashkortostan) began work the II international forum "Time to export". During the strategic session of the forum, the management team of the Republic of Tatarstan presented the economic situation of the region in terms of non-resource non-energy exports.

One of the main topics of the forum was the Regional export standard 2.0. Round tables with participation of "pilot regions" on implementation of the project were devoted to it. One of the pilot regions of the project implementation is the Republic of Tatarstan, whose management team presented the economic situation of the region in terms of non-resource non-energy exports.

In 2019, the regional export standard is being piloted in 11 regions of the Russian Federation. It was developed within the framework of the national project "international cooperation and export" and is aimed at creating favorable conditions for the development of export activities in the subjects of the Russian Federation.

According to the Ministry of economic development of Russia, presented earlier at the meeting of the Presidium of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on strategic development and national projects, the Republic of Tatarstan was among the leaders among the regions of the Volga Federal district for the development of exports of small and medium-sized businesses.

The main export partners of Tatarstan are traditionally Western Europe and CIS countries. Also in 2018, new directions were opened - the Gulf countries (UAE, Bahrain, etc.).

- It is important for business, especially export-oriented, to receive systematic support: information, consulting, and also financial, when starting to export. It is important to support companies that have decided to develop new markets, including through the examination and analysis of these markets, said the Minister of economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Abdulganiev.

According to the results of the 1st half of 2019, the number of SMEs exported to the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 46 enterprises, which provided 102% of the planned amount.
