Mr. Artem Zdunov addressed the Collegium of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

Today there was a meeting of the Collegium of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on the theme: “On the outcome of the work of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia in 2017 and the main objectives for 2017”. Within framework of the meeting the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mr. Dmitry Medvedev made a statement. Among the speakers of the plenary discussion who made statements were - the first Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Mr. Igor Shuvalov, Minister of Economic Development of Russian Federation - Mr. Maxim Oreshkin, Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation - Mrs. Elvira Nabiullina.

A presentation on the theme "Regional economic policy of the Republic of Tatarstan. Interbudget relations in modern conditions"  was made by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr. Artem Zdunov. In his statement, he expressed gratitude to the management of the Ministry of Economic Development for supporting initiatives of the Republic of Tatarstan in part of interaction with the Federal Centre, including proposals from the Association of innovative regions of Russia. Also the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan, told about the dynamics of major macro indicators of Tatarstan by the results of 2016.

The gross regional product and industrial output reached almost 2 trillion rubles.

The volume of investments in fixed capital in 2016 year in comparable prices remained at the level of the year 2015 (100%) and amounted to 642.5 billion rubles. During recent years the share of investments in the Republic's gross regional product - is over 33%.

The growth of economic activity continued in the current year.

The gross regional product by the results of Q1 2017 increased 4.2%.

The growth of industrial production totaled to 104,7%.

In his speech Mr. Artyom Zdunov underlined, that the policy of inter-budgetary relations should motivate economic growth simultaneously in donor regions and grant regions to increase their own revenue base.

The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan also noted that the experience of interacting with federal authorities in addressing socio-economic development of the regions confirmed its effectiveness.
