Control over the rise in prices for essential goods was discussed at the weekly videoconferencing meeting at the Ministry of Economy
The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan hosted a traditional meeting of the working group on implementation of the republican plan to ensure sustainable economic development with participation of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan in the videoconferencing regime.
The main topic of the agenda is control over the rise in prices for essential goods.
In her opening speech, Deputy Minister of Economy Natalya Kondratova noted that last week, within the framework of a meeting on economic issues, the President of the Russian Federation raised the topic of rising prices for basic foodstuffs amid falling incomes, in particular, for granulated sugar, sunflower oil, flour, pasta, bread and bakery products, and instructed to resolve the issue of prices in the food market within a week.
To stabilize food prices, the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation announced a number of decisions.
The first is the adoption of the necessary regulatory legal acts aimed at preventing the rise in prices for food products. At the federal level, a number of laws and regulations have been adopted to contain the rise in prices for essential products.
The second is the approval of an interdepartmental working group that will monitor and promptly respond to changes in prices for socially significant goods.
Third, weekly reports on the situation with prices for the basic food basket were introduced in the framework of operational meetings with deputy prime ministers.
Fourth, it is planned to create a system for monitoring prices for socially important goods, including taking into account data from Rosstat and the Federal Tax Service, and preparing a roadmap for creating a unified structured directory-catalog of socially important goods to ensure monitoring using the capabilities of the new control cash registers system that transmit sales data to tax authorities in real time.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Republic of Tatarstan spoke on the agenda of controlling the rise in prices for essential goods.
The next meeting of the working group will take place tomorrow. As part of it, a speech by the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan is planned on the situation on the labor market, the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny on the transition of entrepreneurs from UTII to other taxation regimes, as well as Alekseyevskiy, Buinskiy, Drozhzhanovskiy, Elabuzhskiy, Kaibitskiy and Nizhnekamskiy regions – on problems and risks to ensure the achievement of the forecast values of indicators for 2021.
